For the past 14 years I have worked as a qualified personal trainer, fitness and class instructor training everyone from athletes, total beginners & brides.
Throughout my life I have gone through the many highs and lows of trying to stay in shape, going from one extreme to another. From too skinny and too big, I have learned that numbers on a scale aren’t a true reflection of fitness or health.
It has only been through my own experiences that I realised we are all different, and what works for one person may not necessarily work for another. Its why I always use the motto “Finding Your Fit”.
I truly believe every client is different and I will work to find a plan that fits you!
8 Week Transformation
This amazing lady took out an 8 week, One to One Personal Training package with me, with our main focus being to increase her strength. Not only did her strength increase across the board, her body fat dropped over 3%!!
The picture on the left was taken on the 18th of July 2019, weighing 53.1kgs.
The picture on the right was taken on the 12th of September 2019 weighing 53.3kgs.
You’ll notice her weight barely budged…. yet she still managed to lose body fat and slim down!
This post has two very strong points to it:
1 – Strong is the new skinny and women shouldn’t be afraid of lifting heavy weights. You will not get bulky, in fact, the opposite will happen if taught to you correctly.
2 – You shouldn’t always rely on the scales to see changes in your bodies appearance. Muscle weighs more than fat, which shows how her weight remained virtually the same.
